58.5cm, 7 courses;Based on the outline of the 1592 Venere but simplified from the original 25 ribs of yew to 9 ribs of plane tree wood with ebony spacers. Ebonised neck and pegbox, cocobolo pegs and plumwood bridge.
I made it in 2009 as a test of the design I used for the two children's lutes we made in that year’s summer school.
It has been on loan to a child in the Norfolk School project for a year and on its return I have now decided to sell it. It is in very good condition and is a nice responsive instrument.
